Halo on the Game Boy Advance

Well, this was something that I've known for months about, but was literally sworn to secrecy by the people involved (just like many OTHER things I know but can't say). But since it's been mentioned in another publication, I can confirm that, yes, Halo is in the works for the GBA. That's all I can say, on risk of having my fingernails ripped off with a bottle opener.

I have to say, when I read "Halo on GBA" on the picture on the frontpage, I thought some idiot had asked if there was ever going to be a Halo game on the GBA and Craig was going to answer no, of course not.

Imagine my surprise when he said, "Why yes, there is." -_-

I wonder what it'll be? I'm betting a turn based strategy game.

I think it would be more along the lines of a first or second person ( i think) shooter, where you could link cables and play your friends. Much like the Halo for XBOX, but probably less fun and definately worse graphics...but i would try it when it comes out.

Trying to emulate the actual Halo game on the GBA would be insane. It could never compare. What they need to do is use the Halo universe for a different kind of game. A turn based strategy game would work. It fits the universe and could be very fun. And it couldn't really be compared to the XBox Halo games.

They did it with Onimusha.

they could, but i dont really see how it would work like that. I've never seen Onimusha, s i have no comparison, all i can say is if its turn based, it better be the best damned turn based game i've ever seen.

You're thinking too much about Halo the FPS and not enough of just simply Halo the license. A Halo strategy game's gameplay would have a zero to nil relationship with the FPS's gameplay.

I doubt what they're trying to do is "port" Halo or Halo 2 to the GBA. THAT is what wouldn't work. Instead, they're probably making a whole new game that is unrelated to Halo on the XBox gameplay wise.

And I think a turn based strategy is the most likely candidate.
