Pick your Pony
Who do you want to win the 2004 election? Who do you think will win.
I'd like to see John Kerry win. After seeing how things have gone the last few years, i strongly favor the democrats. The republican party only seems to give tax breaks to rich people. Plus John Kerry was a vietnam vet (which he mentions every opportunity he gets) so I'm pretty sure he's against war. Perhaps he'll mend the damage in the UN. Who knows.
Does anyone else think there should be a cap set on money that can be spent for election campaigns? Becasue republicans seem to get an unfair advantage when it comes to election campaign money because big businesses love republicans. If there was a funding cap, more would be focused on issues than glitz.

You believe what i'm saying are lies!? Blasphemy!
You can't deny the fact that big businesses love the men that give them tax breaks. Why would they want anotehr party to win that wouldn't save them as much money? Hmm?
Rather than just telling me I'm wrong, explain why and how i'm wrong please. You don't prove anything by just putting me down.

Re: Pick your Pony
yea but they love money more. Think about it, the're greedy bastards they dont donate money, they steal it from the poor.
Where as democrats donate lots because
A. pot is now illigal and they have more money laying around
B. they are tree loving hippies who support causes.

Your ideals and blatent disregard for spelling and grammar intrigue me. But think about. Big business can treat political parties as investments. Say for instance, a big business gives a little money and when the politician wins, BAM!, huge tax break.
Oh...and contrary to popular belief, not all democrats are hippies. Sorry to disappoint you.

Re: Pick your Pony
I'm voting for Bush, but dreaming of McCain. And by the way there are just as many special interests pulling the strings for the democrats as there are republicans. You think Dean's rediculous campaign funds came from private donations from dock workers and Barbara Streisand? No, they came from Big Money.
Dyflon, as much as you believe that we conservatives believe whatever the administration tells us, you are far too trusting in your own party's disinformation machine. The tax cuts you say only wen to the rich, went to everyone and also eliminated them from the very poor.
Did the rich get cuts too? Yeah. Its called being fair. This is what legislation should be based on, not "get even at them damn rich people".
Also, before anyone goes around criticizing the top 1% of our nation, remember that top 1% employ about 80%.

Re: Pick your Pony
Oh, I'm not conservative bashing. And by no means are democrats perfect. They have problems too. But if I were to vote I'd still like to see a democrat in office.
And I do think that a funding cap for election campaigns would be a good way to keep everything even.
I don't believe you believe all the information the conservative party tells you. I don't believe everything i hear from democrats. Every party fabricates and lies. I'm not here to insult anybody.
I'm really interested in everybody's choice of politician and their reason for choosing said politician.

Re: Pick your Pony
I think Kerry is currently my most liked. Dean is basically the democratic version of Bush. But yea we could have Bush for another 4 years...giving out tax cuts to the wealthy, making the stock market go down the toilet, spending billions on a war that wasnt needed (still havent found those weapons of mass destruction, and why the hell is gas still so high?) And then theres the problems with the drug companies, labor, ect. You get my picture. We at least need somone pro labor.

Re: Pick your Pony
I'd vote for Kucinich, but he won't win the Democratic nod...I may vote for Nader if he decides to run also, but I'll probably vote for whatever democrat makes it out.

Re: Pick your Pony
I go with Bush. He may not be the best option, but he is better than any other candidate right now IMO.

Re: Pick your Pony
The elections are in 2004 already? It seemed like last year that Bush got elected.
Oh well, I guess that's because he hasn't really done anything beside making wars on poor countries.
NO OFFENSE.
