Thumbs up Half-Life 2

i was interested in this game before. then i watched a trailer for it at .....
http://www.planethalflife.com/half-life2/videos/

and omg. this might be first ever PC game that i play the single player on, (i always skip single and go straight to multi on pc) because omg parts of it make you feel like your actually there. screw halo. me want HL2 !

i can know see why the game magazines rated it best FPS at E3 hands down.

september cant come soon enough.....

I watched it awhile back. HL2 instantly became my most wanted PC game. It looks better than anything else out there.

I was very excited about this game before I played Half-Life. I bought HL a few weeks ago, and I thought it was very boring. Mindless shooting and puzzle solving isn't for me I guess. But I don't know about HL2, I guess I'm still a little excited. The 25 minute video in a mag I buy should make me feel better.

Now all I need is a new computer, which I won't be buying in the next 3 or 4 months.

Half-Life was good, but too long/boring.

A bit more story would be nice too... perhaps a bit of romance...

thanks for pointing that one out. i didnt even realize that 600 mb movie.

damn thing took 40 min to download but holy !!!

i am VERY impressed with the phisics in this game. instead of objects going thro others they actually interact. like when he was moving the matress, put it over a barrel or a table or what not it actually lied over it and formed to the shape.

and that object moving gun looks sweet as hell.

now im looking even more forward to this game. online play is going to own.

I hope the multiplayer is'nt going to be like halflife where no one plays the real game, everyone plays mods like CS or DOD.

mods a lot of the time are better. thats why so many play it.

normal gameplay is the first to be played. therefor is the first to get old. mods are what makes an online game last for so long. without mods ppl wouldnt still be playin games like HL Quake 1 or 2, etc. Mods make the game basically live forever. and some mods could almost be a game of thier own they're so good.

honestly, when i play HL 2 online. i'll be looking more foward to when they make a mod like Fortress for it, rather then the game itself. just as i am patiently awaiting fortress for UT2003 right now.

of course it is.

not sure why you quoted that tho. :P

and price depends on what gf4 your lookin at. id recommend at least one of the Ti models. dont get a MX or Go. i prefer nvidia over ati, ati's drivers sometimes buggy for some games and seem to give more problems. nvidia drivers are very nice.
