If you've been following the gaming industry, you no doubt have heard of Malice. The game was originally supposed to be only for Xbox. Then it was announced for the PlayStation 2 as well. After a while, it got a subtitle "Kat's Tale." Things started to look even more promising for the game when we found out that No Doubt's Gwen Stefani would lend her voice to the title character.
Well, now you can forget about all of that, because the developer, Argonaut, just announced that Malice: Kat's Tale has been cancelled by publisher Vivendi Universal Games.
The game was described as a "3D action-adventure game featuring a tough, funny, magic-abusing wannabe Goddess called Malice! The player must guide Malice through 22 levels of Elemental chaos to break free of the twisted time-loops & change the devastating histories that drive the game's uniquely evolutionary worlds."
It must be frustrating for all those involved in the game's development for nearly three years to have nothing to show for it.
Well I never figured this game would make it to the XBox. I was never really impressed with it and I doubt most XBox fanboys were excited over it... but... meh.
Well I knew quite a few Xbox fanboys excited over it. Though all you need is good graphics and the word exclusive and you can have hype. Was much worse back then too.
I personally never thought it looked too exciting. But I would've never guessed they would wait this long to can it.
Heh, I remember when they were hyping this game because of its graphics. And I think awhile back, they said it would also come to the PS2. But eh, I won't be missing much of Malice. Never stood a chance.
