Looking good, but I thought it was supposed to have the same graphics as that trailer? I think they've yet to add the bump mapping in these pictures, but I'm not sure.
There is a nice difference between this and Halo though.

Problem with Halo 2's graphics is that they make Master Chief, and the enemies and ships look great, but the rest of the place, like the floor, look like crap. Granted it's been improved quite a bit since the original screenshots, it would be nicer if the quality of graphic was consistant.

The floor doesn't look like crap, they just don't look good compared to the ships and enimies. There's a good chance they're just not fully mapped yet. Either way the lighting still looks good.

Yes, also, if the floors do end up looking bad, I'd rather them keep them bad looking, because the floor is an acceptable sacrafice. I wonder if any screens of any forest areas will come out, if it looks at least comparible to Halo one on the ground mapping It's just fine.

he jumps onto a moving enemy vehicle in the 8 minute movie at ign. and its not a cut-scene either, the person playing actually jumped on the vehicle, kicked out the enemy, then presumed to control the vehicle. very cool.

so your play the game flying ships towards yourself at teh screen?
or play the game with the character you control looking at the screen?
or at the funny angles?
the point he's saying is this is a FPS. where at the FPS pics actually in first person where hes going around aiming and shooting. thoes are what i would consider to be the in game shots.
when you go up to something like a vehicle, and press a button to get in, and it goes out of first person and shows him climbing into the vehicle, that to me is a sceen.
