Newbie!
Well, i'm not exactly a newbie... but my mom just bought a Game Cube for herself, with Zelda! I haven't gotten to play it (will this weekend though). And I think she's thinking of buying me one for my apartment next year.

Heh, be careful. I lost many prime gaming hours to the two times my mom discovered tetris. Then I bought her a game boy with tetris just so I could retain my systems.
My dad's always up for golf or racing.

I don't really need to worry about losing My gaming time to my mom because she is the original gamer of the house. Its a matter of her losing Her gaming time to me.

My parents havent really shined to my cube that much. They were amazed by Rogue Squadron II. But Mario Kart 64 amazed everyone. Even my Aunt and uncle got addicted it on it, and bought an N64.

My mom and my sisters play tetris on the gameboy pocket all the time. At least I have a GBA so I don't have to worry about them using it. I'm the only one who plays on my GCN and the N64, but my sisters also play tetris on the SNES. I barely use my old systems so it doesn't bother me.

my mum likes video games, she used to play OOT all the time [shes not very skilled though], then she gave up because it was too hard, but she bought a PS2 and is playing Kingdom Hearts [or atleast trying to :P]

You people are so lucky. My parents think video games are a waste of time. I don't think i'll ever be able to convince them that it's just another form of entertainment(like watching a movie).
Once Mario Kart comes out for the cube I might have a chance at getting atleast my mom hooked.
