PC vs Consoles
What do you prefer? playing games on your PC or on a console?
Me, I'm all for the console gaming, but I wanted to know about you, and why?

Console gaming...
PC is ok but it's Consoles are killing it off... PC costs too much, and I will take a controller over a keyboard and mouse in 95% of the games I play (the only exceptions is EA's sim type games)
Plus, er, some games have much too confusing controlls... I mean, I need somthing simplified, not somthing that takes months to learn completly.

I prefer console gaming for the most part...
The only genres I prefer on PC would be online FPS's (Battlefield 1942!!!) and simulation games (SimGolf)
3rd person games, Sports games, RPGs, etc. are all better on consoles...not to mention most of the ELITE developers in the world concentrate 100% on consoles (where they'll make the most money).

Console gaming...I tried to get into PC gaming at a time in my life, but it never really happened. All of the FPS's come to the consoles anyways, and I'm not really into the RTS that frequent PC's..

Console as well.. I've found it much better with it's simplicity. It's like, Mac gaming, but a hundred times better.

I like consoles better... But it isn't really a fair comparison considering I rarely play PC games.

I prefer console gaming. There are a lot more games of interest to me and there are slim to nil problems with any games on a console. I like to just pop in a game and get started, not wait for a minute or 2 for a game to load/start.

Console, because games develpoed for a specific console will always meet the requirments.
With PC, the newer games will naturally require more as graphics become better and online playability expands and within a year, your computer will be under the "Recommended Requirments" and then you have to deal with slowness, etc. And I know most of you can't afford to buy a new computer every 1-2 years. At least I can't.
Then again, new computers can play all your old computer games, consoles can only play the games specifically designed for them (excluding PS2). So I guess, really, the expense is the same. Consoles last longer thogh I think. When you buy one, you're ok until the next one comes out which is usually 4-5 years. Maybe 3.
Nevertheless, I still like console better.

Also I like the fact that your console doesn't get "stuck" or you don't buy a game and wait 3 weeks till a damn patch comes to make the game compatible with your video card... or browse endless forums to edit some .INI file to make it work.
PCs... what a pain in the ass

Lately I've been playing my Pc a lot more than consoles.
Xbox I'm considering selling. Ps2 and GC are ok for the moment, but Warcraft, Counterstrike (both online) and Kof2002 (emu). These 3 games are keeping me more entertained than what i've got on my Ps2/Gc.
Normally I would say console gaming, but for the moment, I'm going to have to go with Pc
*still waiting for Metroid*
Might I mention that even if I didn't have CS, I'd still vote for Pc because of WC. It's so good. Quality over quantity this time wins out 4 me. Also I'm sure it will do the same when I get MP and Zelda

Good posts Tarakan...
I gotta disagree with you guys and say PC. I like the mouse and keyboard ten times better than a controller (for most games at least). PC, IMO, has better graphics, more fixibility if something is wrong with the game (patches, upgrades, etc.).
And PC can be used for other things, so it is more useful to you in the future.
As for hte cost of PC's. It's not that bad. I custom built my own PC a year ago for approxiamately 700-800 dollars. That will play any current game out there and will so for about the next two years. Another thing I like about PCs is that you only have to upgrade parts of it to keep up with the technology. in two years, when I'll have to upgrade, I'll only have to buy $150-200 worth of equipment.
I can see why people would like console over PCs, but I bought a PC mainly because it will be more useful to me in the future.
