I hate Chemistry.
Well, I was getting a C, now I'll be happy to be passing.
anyways the point of this......
The final question on my test today I want to see if any of you can do it.
Ca(OH)2 a strong base is only slightly soluable in water. You dissolved just enough solid Ca(OH)2 in 30degree C water to form a clear solution. 100 mL of this solution was pipetted out and transfered to a 250 mL erklenmyer flask. It was titrated against .05 M (molarity) HCl solution ot the Phenolphthalein end point. The titration took 48.80 mL of the solution find the following.......
(a) a balanced chemical equation for the reaction of Ca(OH)2 and HCl
(b) The molarity of the Ca(OH)2
(c) The soluablity of Ca(OH)2 in 30C water in grams of Ca(OH)2 per 100 mL of solution.

Take Physics. I'm sure you'll find it much more easy!

Woah? Really? That's awesome! I don't see/meet many people who have lived in, much less know where Delaware is...Not many people I know here like Delaware very much, but I think it's a very chraming little place.
P.S what school did you go to?

Not that hard of a problem. Completely forget everything related to Chemistry over the summer, and don't ever want to remember it.
The reason I hated chemistry was because it was all about filling in formulas, basically a second math class of all word problems.

For once I semi-agree with you, I done forgoet EVERYThing I learnted in Chemistry (It was about two years ago), but Chemistry seems to be more of a Math course than science and so does Physics, I mean probably that's why I found them easier then Bio.

Yeah, it's really not that hard of a problem. If you have the equation for titration it should be just filling things in.
I'm taking Chem 2 now in college, and last semester in Chem 1 we had the titration stuff. I don't remember the formula, though we had a lab on it.

I hate chemistry, so I tried to forget every aspect of it.....however I do remember that organic Chemistry is harder than that question you did.
Have fun whenever you do O.C!!!

I could probably do the problem, I'm really tired right now, so, I'll say the answer is 6.9 mL.
