Which one did you last play? I would re-play the one you had the most fun with, or the one that you havent played in the longest time.

Since Final Fantasy IX is the only game that I like out of the three, I guess I'd have to pick it. I'd say that you should pick up Final Fantasy II in some form or another. If you can't find the SNES version anywhere, then buy that Final Fantasy Anthology thing. It's probably only about twenty-five bucks nowadays.

FFII isn't even out on psx yet... until spring 2003, when Square releases FF Premium Package (which is FFI and FFII). FF Anthology is Final Fantasy VI and V, while FF Chronicles is FFIV and CT.

I think it is. Though I'm pretty sure it was released as Final Fantasy IV. I'm not going to waste my time explaining why, because you probably already know and I don't want to hurt my fingers.

FFIX was the one I had most fun with. I don't like VII much...It was okay, but no game of the year (for its year) or any award. FFVIII was a good game with a believable storyline and cool characters... Eh, I'd replay 9 since I haven't played it in forever :o

Oh, I didn't know you were referring to the older US version names. So yeah, its on PSX, but in FF Chronicles, not Anthology. Although they should've just added it in with Anthology when it was released like 3 years earlier than Chronicles...

No. FF9 is meh.
Play FF7. So much more freedom in the battle system. Or FF8.
Never liked FF9 much, but hey that's just me

The battle system in that game is too automatic. There's not much customisation. I liked it, but it was my least favourite out of the PS series

By customization, do you mean how you could use Materia in ff7 to make a character have a specific function or more than one function?

yeah ff7 does have more customization, but i decided to go with 9 cause ive beatr 7 2 or 3 times.
i like games with a happier mood set and uhh ff7 isnt too happy lol. but that game is still prolly the best of ff. if i wanan replay something after nine it'll be 7

The only thing bad with FF7's materia system is that there wasnt any character diversity in battle. Cloud with long range materia is basically Barret. Anyone could summon and cast black magic, where as in FF9, Vivi was the major spell caster. I like having character diversity in battle, although I also liked being able to give anyone any attack in FF7..
