Well if youre like me, you will probably want to buy it because RE games are so much fun and I've beat RE on GCN like 8 times because its fun...but if you only care about beating it once, then rent it I guess.

I just bought it its definately easier!! Its pretty cool controlling two characters at once. i don't even think I'm a quarter through the game and I got stuck, but I have an idea of what to do. Just lazy to try it over again. The graphics have improved and there is tons new monsters, they seem to like making mutated insects the best, and more annoying. Rebecca loses life to easy a tip is to use her so you can run away if you need. I think the game is great so far.

I beat it and rent it and I thought it was good... I like how you have to switch between the characters and such... And there are no more chests so you just leave items places and come back for them... and although it makes it a bit less convenient, it's not all tedius and such and it gives you more to do...
Although I started the game playing in Normal, then got stuck maybe 60% through because my ammo/health situation wasn't the best and I started over on easy... that's like one of the few times I actually had to start over in an RE game
But then after playing it on easy I just beat it a few minutes ago... For some reason it didn't tell me how long it took to beat the game... unless I accidentally skipped it or something... But anyways I got the game Friday night and I beat it... but keep in mind I play way too much and I stayed up until 5AM Friday playing it... then 4AM last night...
Yep... I also like the story... I like seeing the events before RE1 and such... you even get to go to a couple places from Resident Evil 2... Too bad RE2 and 3 aren't being completely remade with new areas, enemies, story thingies, etc etc like RE1 was...
I like making simple things into long posts...
"The graphics have improved"
Not really...

wtf? theres nothing from RE2 in RE0. perhaps you mistakened a part of the game for some part of RE2....or maybe i'm mistaken and wasnt able to realize that some parts were from Re2....
well anywho, i thought the game was great. i just beat it a few minutes ago. didnt say wut my time was but i've been playing it all day everyday since friday, so i think maybe around 15 hours or so, maybe less, seemed longer than RE1.
i like being able to just drop items anywhere you want (although for some gay reason every room has a limit to the amount of items you can leave in it...). but i also thought there were too many items and not spaced far enough apart. like almost every new room you go into theres like a main item and tons of healing herbs/spray and/or ammo. sure, its good to have tons of ammo and healing items, but each character only has six spaces and some of the weapons (shotgun, gernade launcher) take up 2 item spaces. plus the ammo for those weapons, plus a secondary weapon (handgun, magnum), plus ammo for the secondary weapons, equals only 2 spaces left for each character, and i dont even have a healing item.
graphics quality? the absolute same as RE1 on GCN, no surprises there i assume.
no control type C was disapointing, but it was made like that so you can control your other character with the C-stick, so it was pretty cool. the regular controlling aint not too bad anyway.
all in all, great game. cleared up a lot of questions about the RE series. i look forward to RE4.if your a fan of survival horror games, or just like the RE series, this is a good game to get.
btw, Billy Cohen kicks ass

spoilerness I think
maybe it wasn't... but I dunno, once you take the uhhh cable car to that place (just before you enter the treatment plant), there is an area that looks exactly like the area towards the end of RE2... You get the little place with the security camera that Mr. X punches out and then you go down the turntable/elevator thing and you're right in an area that looks just like the front area of the main lab from RE2... but you can't enter any of the doors... it just says "There's no need to search here"... and then Enrico comes running up from the elevator and you have a quick chat... Then he leaves and Rebecca says (in like a narrative thing) "I never saw him again..."...
The only difference was that in RE2, on the turntable elevator thing there was like a car type of thing set up, whereas in RE0 there was no car... but I dunno, I guess it would make sense that it wasn't RE2 areas since it was kinda out in the woods type of place, but I don't remember much of anything from RE2 so I can't remember if the main lab was in the city or the outskirts or where... Alls I know is the place looked the same... there was even a little control room for activating the turntable... and in the corner of the room (the same corner as in RE2) there is a little latch type of door on the floor that is sealed shut... and now that I think of it, I think that's how you get to the area in RE2... going through the sewers and coming up through that hatch...
yep...
end spoilerness

hmmm.....you might be right, i cant remember perfectly all the areas of RE2. i kinda ruled out the possibility that any of the areas in RE0 were from RE2 cuz RE0 is like out in the forest and stuff and i remember RE2 being in Raccoon city, but then you go threw the sewers and stuff and end up at the lab thing, so maybe thats in the forest somewhere.
so you could be right....
