more of Game's ramndom Sega bashing and EA praising

Quote:
October 24, 2002 - To the surprise of very few, publisher Electronic Arts today announced record profits in the quarter ended September 30. Net revenues were $453 million, in comparison to $240 million for the same quarter last year, with net income adding up to $50 million. The period in question saw the release of new titles in the Madden NFL, NCAA Football, The Sims, and Medal of Honor franchises, major money-makers all, so while it's certainly good news for EA's balance sheet, it's hardly shocking.
"EA is hitting on all cylinders," said Warren Jenson, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. "For the trailing four quarters, our revenue topped $2 billion for the first time in EA history while our trailing four quarters operating cash flow exceeded $450 million."
Look forward to further updates on EA's holiday lineup -- Harry Potter, James Bond 007, and more -- in the near future

If you guys haven't noticed, EA is becoming more than sports, and thier games aren't exactly flopping on the sales charts. I guess Sega's 3 year plan to beat EA as the #1 thier party financially is slowly falling away. It has been one and one half year, and EA's just getting that much bigger.

Sega will probably never beat EA as No 1 3rd party developer. They just have so many franchises that will sell wether the games suck ass or not. Bond, Harry potter, Madden, just to name a few. It certinatley dosent mean they make better games that Sega, which they dont.

Well... I can make this statement in your words (just twisted )
EA will probably never beat Sega as No 1 3rd party developer in hardcore gamers eyes. They just have so many franchises that will get over hyped wether the games suck ass or not. Bech Spikers, Shinobi, and Toe Jam & Earl, just to name a few.
(I dunno why I feel like bashing Sega... It's in my blood I guess)

Well, once I heard Black Box had been purchased, I knew EA was purposely kicking dirt in their face. EA's bullying SEGA around a bit too much..... Nintendo better do something about it. Something involving money. It also ends with the word "ownage." J00 dig?

I dont care if EA sells more, just so long as sega keeps selling enough to turn a profit, they'll keep making games. And I won't have to buy EA's crap (ea sports that is, i've got no beef against ea)

EA seems to be getting huge in the PC world. No matter what game I buy for PC there seems to be EA symbol written all over the box and the game, presumably as a producer. And if it's not all over the box then their name is still there but in smaller print.
I mean, not all games are produced by EA, but it seems like a great deal of them are.
