My friend was complaining because he said his AOL doesn't let him play games. So, from my experience, it's a definite no. You'd be best to get something better anyways if I'm wrong, AOL sucks. Everybody thinks it sucks, except those people who are bribed big bucks to look like fools on T.V. and say that it is the best.

*logs in under wrong name*

Well, Dreamcast didn't let users use AOL... but Ps2 does... I was just wondering if they followed Sony or Sega.

k, i have searched high and low and according to IGN, the exact specs of the online adapter arent known yet.....yes even though it comes out tomorrow IGN still doesnt know.

but for curiousity sake, i took the liberty to match the price of the PS2's network adapter to the GCN's broad band adapter. considering the fact the the PS2 network adapter has both ethernet and phone line ports, and the GCN broad band adapter only has the obvious ethernet port, i figured the GCN BBA would be quite a lot less expensive then the PS2 NA.

PS2 NA: $72.31 Canadian with tax, about $39.99 without tax
GCN BBA: $63.26 Canadian with tax, about $34.99 US without tax

a difference of around $5.00

sound fair? i suppose it's reasonable

Ditto! I don't think that it will let you play with an AOL account. BTW, does the PS2 lets you play online with a non-AOL account?

Even though I don't exactly understand your question, I think the answer is yes. AOL users can play against non AOL users online.

Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks!

PD: My bad, I some times don't explain things well (Or ask questions clearly) :\
