new Silent Hill 3 movie, amazing!!!

the movie is 6 minutes long, features enlgish voice acting, and a hell of a lot of sweetness!! this'll give you a good idea on the level of terror the game will have. and the graphics are as sweet as ever

Kewl! I definitley like the music. And the atmosphere of the game is just what I expected. Tough I don't find those monsters as scary as the piramyd (sp?) heads. I hope they have some scarier monsters and they just don't want to show them right now. Also, I hope the story is clearer (less abstract) and more explained in this game. I hope they find a way to "hide" some important parts of the story line and at the same time have an understandable story. Cause after all, I like the abstracness of the game. Not knowing everything is scary.

i.e. I want them to make a complex story, yet not so confusing.

from that topic that IGN said looked like a "familiar face" and I said the only person I could think of was like Dhalia or a younger Dhalia or something...

Well in the movie the lady sorta babbles on (well, says a couple lil' things) about like something about rebirth and such! She sounds like she's talking gibberish like Dhalia...

Mehopes it's Dhalia, that'd be neat...

and I don't even know if I'm spelling her name right...

The movie looks superb. I really liked it. Maybe I should finally finish Silent Hill

and maybe you should leave PuPPeT alone... y'know? He is entitled to his opinion. Just because he doesn't like PS2 doesn't make him a fanboy.. Maybe other things about him does, but whatever..

i'm a fan of silent hill, and i cant say i agree to your dahlia theory. i mean, i wont rule out the possibility, but i just dont think its her. that would mean the game would have to be a prequel, which might kinda suck cuz i'd rather see wut happens after SH2 than wut happens before SH1.

Umm.. the games really have nothing in common that would be effected by the timeline of events... The only thing that really makes links the games together is the town and such... So even if SH3 was a prequel, it would make no difference... Hell, for all we know, Silent Hill 2 was a prequel... I don't remember anything which placed SH2 AFTER SH1 besides the fact it has a 2 in the title and was released after 1

But you're right, for that to be Dahlia they've either given her a big makeover or it's happens before the events of SH1 when she's younger...

Alls I know is it sounded a little like her, and she was babbling on about weird things... and earlier IGN called her a "familiar face", and although she's younger, that's the only character that the person looked a little bit like...

Who knows, maybe it's just someone related to Dahlia... or maybe another one of the freaky cult people...

I still think it'd be neat to have a prequel actually based on the events you've read about in Sh1 and 2... cuz y'know in SH1 and 2 you always read about things like related to the history of the town (well, SH2 went further back, but SH1 talked more about the cult and the fire that burnt down a lot of the town, etc)... I think it could really make for a good storyline (one that actually explains some things)...

But meh *shrugs*

in SH1 there was Dahlia to sorta explain the story and make things more clear, but in SH2 all the people have just come to town and know nothing about it at all. SH2 seemed like it was made to coincide with SH1. in Sh1 there was more explanation to what was happening. Sh2 looks like its suppose to be self-explanatory whereas things were just sorta happening for no reason, there was no explanation and that made it all the more scary. this series has always poped questions in my mind (that tells you the developers did a good job), i never can quite understand it so i have to try to make sense of it myself.

Well the town wasn't evacuated as far as I know, the people just dissapeared

unless you were just saying that but didn't think it was evacuated

But the people who were there all had like one thing in common:

When the town made the switch from have people there to not having people there, they were all asleep...

Harry was unconcious in his car
Lisa was taking a nap I think she said, and so was Kaufman...

Although they also had ties to the town... except maybe Lisa from what I can remember...

Kaufman had something to do with that drug thing...
Harry's adopted Daughter was actually Dahlia's biological daughter...

and such...

I don't see how there was much more going on in Sh2 than in Sh1... well I guess there was storyline-wise, so yeah... but that's cuz of Dahlia and Cheryl/Allessa and all those connections and such

And stuff and things...

I just think a prequel would be neat... a prequel that's actually based on events we've heard of from past SH games...

Or a sequel that has to do with SH1 or 2 where the character is someway related to one of the other characters from the past games and it kinda messes with everything, explaning things, in a way, but raising even more questions...

It'd also be neat in SH3 if you're able to go to some of the areas of the town from SH1 or 2... mainly it'd be new areas, but some would be old areas with some changes (similar to saaaay Onimusha 2 or Resident Evil 3)...

wutever SH3 is, it should be great. I was happy to see some things in the movie, one being that there are actually normal and logical conversations that will play out (main girl talking to that old man and stuff) as apposed to like in SH2 were every conversation was almost always psychological and wierd (in a good way :P) you know wut i mean right? and i want to see some Samael in SH3, a cool come back for him would be sweet. and your right, i wanna know more about the history of Silent Hill, there were so many articles that you find in both Sh1 and Sh2 that talked about great tragedies in the past, and how that drug (white claudia) first started getting distributed and stuff. now that i think of it, the past of SH is much more confusing than anything else

and BTW, there was an article in SH2 (i think it was in the prison) about the town being evacuated like 5 years prior. (5 years is probly wrong, cant remember exact number)

Not necesarily a fanboy, but IMO disliking a console because it's graphics are good, but not the best, is pretty stupid...

And I mean, you complain about it then say you've been playing it the most lately, but if you've been doing that then you're obviously enjoying it, or you like to waste your time with stuff you don't like...

Yeah! That'd be great but I like the fact that they used places you have heard of but hadn't seen. Like the Lakeside Amusement Park. You hear about it on SH2 but you never get to see it.

Well, as long as they explain all the question the past SHs have brought they can raise more question. But raising more questions without explaining the ones i already have would just make me mad.

He is always the one behind everything in Silent Hill. In the end of the second game you see his sign, a triasngle inside a circle, leting you know who was manipulating everything. BTW, is that thing at the end of the video a Piramyd-head? The new monsters don't have hands. They just have this weird things that look like punchingbags. And it looks a lot like a Piramyd-head to me.

I think there was more than one god thing besides Samael... but I'm not sure... I'm pretty sure the sign at the end of SH2 was slightly different... but I may just me mistaken...

That would make sense though if Samael was behind it still...

And the final boss of SH2 looked a lot like Dahlia, IMO (Seems like everybody looks like her to me

) So... SO YEAH!

And I don't think I saw any pyramid heads in that movie... but I think I know where they got the idea for those monsters in Silent Hill 3...

Took the picture myself... it's my grandma's... it's freaky, ain't it? How could they turn something so cwute into something so hideous?

They should put that exact thing into Silent Hill 3 as some special monster

What the hell is your problem STU what you can’t take the fact the some one thinks PS2 hardware is crap or some thing? Or is it the fact some else has an opinion on the forums it’s not like I have Spamming the forums or attacking other members in the PS2 forums all i have done is show my opinion. So why am I getting a warning to stay out of the PS2 forum.
