Best games of the year so far?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up yet... but 2002 is nine months old or there abouts and while the year's biggest games are STILL on the horizon, so far, its been pretty amazing ALREADY. So, what are your favorite games fo the year so far? Taking everything in account up until the end of August (so you can say Mario

) Mine so far are in no particular order....

Gitaroo Man (PS2)
Rez (PS2)
Phantom Crash (Import Xbox)
Animal Leader (Import GCN)
Soccer Slam (Xbox)
Beach Spikers (GCN)
Gun Valkyrie (Xbox)
Gungrave (Import PS2)
Way of the Samurai (PS2)
Murakumo (Import Xbox)

Granted I got about half imports, and 3 of those are coming here later this year, but no one faults that fat guy Ebert for picking bizarro Foreign movies.... My tastes are odd.

Well, Considering I only own a GCN, I will just say what are my picks for best GCN game so far.

Mario
Eternal Darkness
Resident Evil
Super Monkey Ball 2

There's more, but I'm not remembering at the moment.

..um...RE is okay I guess. One of the better GCN titles this year anyway.

hmmmm....so far this year i have enjoyed playing:

ED

uh i guess thats it, this year really started off slow, i liked gitaroo man but i only got to play the demo. RE was ok but i beat it like 3 times so meh, and i still havent played socom, onimusha 2, or smb2 yet either....
