Does anyone know the details about the next in the series?

Any ideas on a release date and storyline?

There are no details as of yet. There is a rumour of a DQ Online...and DQ8 is in RPGamer's game list. Although it has yet to be announed by Enix. Hopefully soon. And I hope they have comparable graphics to other games..cuz like...DQ7 was horrible compared to other games (graphic wise)..but yet it was very long game...and Im not saying graphics always matter because I'll buy it anyway.

I don't know of any rumors or news... And this is the only RPG series I like, so hopefully there will be a new one in the not-so-different future.

You and me too! I love Enix's RPG's. Does anyone remember Illusion of Gaia?

A little more than a year ago I remember Enix elluded to DQ8 going Xbox or Gamecube but that was the end of it. Just recently they were acting skiddish about Dragon Quest Online anything what with the disaster that is FF XI.... I guess only time will tell were it goes next.
