Not impressed by the graphics shown in the screen. The grass looks horrible, the tree needs work, almost looks cartoony, and the character isn't detailed at all.

Hopefully this isn't a good representation of how the game will look. Rght now I'm far from impressed, but I'll still be getting this game.

I think you're easily impressed...

First the screens were pretty darn good, then as time went by, they sort of went... meh...

Sounds like Super Mario Sunshine in it's early stages, doesn't it Shadow_Link? Give the game some time... this screen shot doesn't look very real to me, not saying it isn't.

Given the amount of time this game will have been in development, I'd expect it. And I'm pretty sure it will have nice visuals. I hope it does since it's one of the few games I am gonna buy in the near future for the Xbox... This game better deliver on the gameplay side of things, I'm not really bothered about the visuals. However good B&W was, it was nothing like it was supposed to be. Here's to hoping!

Oh, and I was merely commenting on how this certain screen wasn't really a 'WoW' thing . This game has been in development for quite a while. Mario Sunshine 'looked' bad not because of early stages, but because of the screen capturing methods, added to the fact that they were at a resolution lower than a TV's etc... Since the Xbox has the 'best' capturing methods (Ultra high resolution ), I would rule that out as a possibility. Though this may just be a picture taken from a TV.

If we would read the text above images life would be so much easier:

Screenshot competition: The result

The result came in a while ago and now the screenshot has been taken. The winner was Edgar (aka JADE8704) whose idea for the screenshot was modified slightly by BBB (to make the screenshot possible) and now looks like this:

Our Hero as an adult, sitting underneath a tree during a sunset, reminicing about his childhood. He'd be sitting on top of a grassy hill, with mountains [and trees] in the distance, while the sun is setting.

Thanks go to Jules, Ian, Dean [Finnigan], and Dene at BBB for providing and allowing us to have the shot and for setting it up. Thanks also go to Jonathan who has helped throughout and acted as a link to BBB.

Not bad.

The background looks real nice. The foreground however

But that don't matter. As long as this game lives up to the hype! I need a game like this for my xbox!

PS Is it online?

Big Blue Box is considering online possibilities, but I think it's fairly unlikely Project Ego would go online. But you never know.

super mario sunshine pics still look like ****, but that's cause that's just how it comes out of the Gamecube, but from the xbox, you get much more high rez pics than actually displayed on tv, so games tend to look better than they do on tv.
