havn't read the exact reasons for switching, but i read like the first sentance and stuff...and it sound's promising, but i'm too used to PC..and it works perfectly for me, so i have no reason for switching...maybe in the future, when they make some stuuff that i will need for mac only...but until then, i'm sticking to my PC and WIN XP.

A large portion of their 'why you should switch' is digital media or whatever. Unfortunately I doubt many people on GameTavern are involved in that.

That's cause Apple is trying to be a digital hub.
Your music, burn it on iTunes, put it on your iPod. I'm sure most of us are into that.
Photography, anyone who has a digital camera would absolutely love iPhoto. I'm sure more people than just me have a digital camera.
Digital video, less of us may use. But if you ever decide to get a digital camecorder, you got everything you need.

Re: Switch!
If we can stop M$ fro m releasing ther Paladium Chip, which Pika mentioned in another topic, then i will most definitly switch.
I like WinAMP and I'm prety sure there's a Mac versiion, Windows and DOS Emulators such as VirtualPC are everywhere, and while I don't have a Digital Camera, I'd really like one. I AM, However a big Digital Video Person, mainly truying to find a way to convert my Anolog Video (AV) VHS Cassettes to DVD and phase-out my VHS tapes, this includes my "Star Trek" Video's, my "Power Rangers" Tapes, my old TMNT tapes and anytrhing else.
For 2003 Power Rangers (the offical name is "Power Rangers: Ninja Storm") is going to be filmed in New Zealand, and not the USA, I'm looking forward to this, and with one big change comes another, rather than "Tape" the TV Show, I'l "Record" it onto DVD-RAM with a Panasonic DMR-E20S which retails for an MSRP of about $700.00 USD, and when I fil the DVD-RAM, I'l copy the "Final Burn" with the comercials removed to a DVD-R that CAN NOT be ERASED, and I'll stick it a nice DVD "clamshell" case. Rather than upload anymore VHS "Bricks" to my PC, I'd like to just Conect a Video capture Card to a USB "Dongle" for AV capture on a Mac, and edit that way. As for games, did I mention Virtual PC and other "Emulators", lkike the ones my Computer Scinence Teacher uses.
In fact, an upgrade in two years instead of 3 or four might be order if I buy a Mac. If my Bro gets a new PC, I intendot take his old Windows 98 C back, FDISK the HDD, upgrade it, Install LInux or another "Compentant" OS, and sel it on a site like eBay with the Software so I can buy myself a Beter PC and make evryhone happy. My Father on the ohter hand, who is a Pigheaded @$hole, and I hope everyone on this site will refer to him as that, SUPPORTS M$ and there new Paladium Chip which is going to screw him over, I hate him for this, and as long as he continues to support it, I will continue to consider him an enemy and not a family member! I normaly like my fdather, but this has gone to far!!

I wouldn't touch WinAMP on Mac. iTunes is the best MP3 player ever made, period.

If Palladium does start encroaching on the universe (assuming apple don't implement it as well - it's gonna be a big earner if it ever gets off the ground), then I too will become a Mac supporter.
Hell, I'll even buy one myself... and just run Linux on it I can't afford a Sparc chip just yet...
But I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to dela with Linux's difficulties (assuming they haven't all been solved by then).
: crosses fingers and hopes Steve Jobs isn't so stupid as to buy into the whole "secure network" bollocks :
