e3 Predictions (Goldeneye Wii)
I know its WAY too early, but I figured it would be a fun month ride.
So with e3 2010 in just one short month, I was curious what GTers expected from the big 3?
We already know some of the key reveals such as games for the Natal and PS Move launch. Nintendo will be there with Zelda and the Vitality Sensor and the 3DS.
So let's hear your wildest speculation.
And just to get the crazy train rolling

Re: e3 Predictions
I feel like this is going to be an exciting E3...and seeing Elder Scrolls V on that list makes me tingly inside.
Not to mention Fable 3 (one of my all time favorite series of games), Gears of War 3 (another one of my all time favorites), Halo Reach, Marvel vs Capcom 3, the new Witcher game, new Zelda, new Mario Kart...I hope a lot of that list is true.
Although why would Mass Effect 3 be a sony exclusive?

Re: e3 Predictions
I'm calling BS on that list. Everything that stands out to me is designed to cause some sort of violent reaction. Besides, where is it supposed to have come from? I could make that same list in five minutes.
I mean "The Legend of Zelda: the [sic] Fall of Hyrule?" Sounds very exciting, but it just falls into the same rumors that were around when TP was just announced. Its also far from the usual pattern that Zelda titles fall into. It sounds like a crappy fanfic.
There is also no way that Mass Effect 3 would be a Sony exclusive. I could buy that they might port over the first two games and have ME3 multi-console, but it wouldn't be a PS3 exclusive. That inclusion is entirely for the purpose of seeing rabid fanboys go nuts. Its not impossible, I suppose. Dumber things have happened, but I just can't imagine how EA could possibly think there's a larger profit to be made for the final chapter of a trilogy to be released on a console that neither of the previous games were on.
So, anyway, rumors and predictions are fun, but only if they're not... dumb.

You never know...don't forget Resident Evil 4 was suppoused to be a Gamecube Exclusive, and it was for quite awhile, before it was finally released on PS2.

Re: e3 Predictions
I should just point out that there is a 99% chance that the list is a fake. It looks to take known entities and add some out there predictions.

That was a slightly different case though.
I mean there is no logical reason for EA to make Mass Effect 3 PS3 exclusive, if anything else I can see it being ported to the PS3, but exclusivity doesn't make sense at this point.

Re: e3 Predictions
Kevin Butler will show up and Sony will win the conference because of it.
As far as Nintendo goes, we'll see their Vitality Sensor used, and my guess is that it'll be packed in with Wii Party, similar to the packaging of Resort/MotionPlus, WiiBo/Wii Fit, and Wii Play/Wiimote.
"Fall of Hyrule" sounds like fanfiction. Most Zelda subtitles deal with a main character or a critical item. My guess is that the title will deal with this woman/Master Sword. Hopefully we'll also see a Pikmin 3 reveal.
Nintendo missed a huge opportunity when they decided to launch a new Pokemon game for the DSi instead of the 3DS. The 3DS will sell, but can you imagine the damage it would deal if Pokemon was the title bundled, much less launched with it? They have another opportunity with a Mario Kart launch title, so here's hoping they do the smart thing in that situation.
We'll see more hands-on with Natal in some core-oriented games, but I'm still skeptical. The technology's fantastic, but it's less practical than Wii motion is for core games. No buttons? No tangible asset to hold on to where things like golf/baseball are concerned? Movement is limited to what I can do in real life? I'll pass. If Microsoft leans more towards Natal=accessible games rather than Natal=the new way to play, then they'll be heading down the right track.

Apples and bananas. Resident Evil 4 was a departure for its series in both gameplay and story. It also was initially released exclusively on the originally announced platform and the series had been multiplatform before anyway so it wasn't too much of a surprise when it hit the sequel to its original system.
MAss Effect 3, on the other hand, will be connected to its previous games like no other game has before, at least to my knowledge. It has also ONLY been released on the 360 and PC so far. For EA to come out and release it exclusively for the PS3 would be very poor decision pretty much alienating most of the fanbase that made the first two games successful. It just wouldn't work.

Re: e3 Predictions
And more e3 ramblings
Quote:
VG247 has learnt that Sony is to reveal plans for PSN’s premium services at E3.
According to a highly-placed source, Sony will announce a large-scale monetizing scheme for PSN at the LA show, but we’re assured nothing planned will impact the service’s current free aspects.
A string of features will be revealed, apparently costing “less than £50 per year”.
Sony will confirm plans to give all subscribers one free PSN game per month, from a choice of “two to four” every month.
“If you work it out, PSN games cost an average of £6-9 each, so over a year you’re basically going to be breaking even,” said our source.
A streaming music application similar to Spotify will be announced in Sony’s press conference on June 15. It’s thought that this can run in the background while playing games.
Rumours that cross-game voice chat is being saved as a paid feature are apparently not true, we were told.
“I can tell you now, 100 percent, that that’s not the case,” our man continued.
“There’s nothing in the premium package which will gimp regular PSN users.”
The PSN premium services announcement is thought to be a major part of Sony’s E3 conference, which will also heavily feature Move.
It’s thought that a PSP2 announcement, for this reason, is unlikely, and will be saved for either gamescom or TGS later this year. Get more detail on that here.

Project Natal to cost close to $200
Quote:
While UK sources were telling MCV that the motion controller would run $80, perhaps less, the three Swedish retail sites are all listing the device for 1,499 SEK, which works out to just under a whopping $200. Now keep in mind a $60 game runs nearly $80, but that's still a pretty penny if it's correct.

This.
But ya, I agree with this probably going to be a pretty exciting E3. With all the new hardware introduced, it's going to be time to show off the big guns. Hoping for some cool Natal stuff - really eager to see what Rare is up to.
All I want from Nintendo is something-Zelda. Anything. It seems like we're gonna get something good, too. Looking forward to it.
And with Sony...meh. I'm not too excited about anything coming their way. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised. And again, KB please.

Re: e3 Predictions
Not really a prediction, but guess could be used as a pre-e3 thread as well.
