Default The Nintendo Difference

This thread comes in peace I swear.

But thought this would be an interesting "experiment"

Quote:
For the past couple of years, the Wii in my apartment has collected a thick layer of dust, simply because I am an Xbox 360 junkie. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Mass Effect 2, Halo 3: ODST, achievement points, Xbox Live Arcade and even Avatars distracted me from waggling, to the point that I feel a bit pathetic for having purchased so many games for Wii and either playing them for just a couple of hours or not at all.

We stopped playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii because of Modern Warfare 2. Time to change that.

At the same time, I've also noticed a disturbing increase in aggression, largely attributed to playing Modern Warfare 2. Losing a game of Free-for-All (especially by a close margin) normally results in profanity-laced tirades that are so loud, I'm surprised the neighbors haven't called the police.

That said, I made the decision to inject a serious dose of Nintendo into my life. The goal? First, to gain a newfound appreciation for the Wii and its games. Second, to see if playing Nintendo games (both for Wii and DS) decrease stress and aggression. Finally, it's a way to revisit my youth, when controllers came with two buttons and you didn't have to worry about two bozos working together to secure a nuke.

To that end, we'll dedicate the entire month to Nintendo. Each workday, I'll choose a random Nintendo game and write about it, starting February 1st and concluding on the 28th.

Naturally, it's hard to say whether playing excessive amounts of Wii will make me a nicer person. That largely depends on the selected games. But after spending more than three full days fragging people (and being fragged) in Modern Warfare 2, it's time for a change. I certainly hope you join me.

I'm already putting 7 hours a day into my Wii. Fire Emblem has consumed my life. And after that, there's Okami, Disaster and Another Code R.

See, Earl's reaction to Prof S proves that playing Wii increases the size of your vagina.

Real men play Xbox.

See its damned if you do, damned if you don't.

If I responded, I would have been taking it too personally as I've been told before so eh.

I've never liked the use of 'mature' words/expressions here on GT. But I've learned to shut up about it. It still sucks.

I don't think I ever cursed or screamed while playing Mario Kart online.
