Default Battlefield 1943

Is anyone thinking of getting this for the Live Arcade?

I might get it, I'm not 100% sure.
I still play 1942.
(I mean for PC, clearly).

Battlefield 1943 comes out tomorrow. If we can get a few people to buy it I think it would be a fun multiplayer game to play in addition to TF2 and L4D.

After reading the review and watching some vids im going to get this.
For DLC it looks incredible. I didnt even think something like this could be done through DLC.
24 players online too. Most retail games dont go that high.
They say around $15,(i dont know how many points that is) but that was a while ago.

One its.. well I guess it would be considered DLC, but usually a term used for add-on to an existing games.
Two.. 1200 points.

I'll be getting it for the PC as Iwo Jima, Guadacanal and Wake Island are probably my 3 favourite maps from 1942. And Coral Sea was always looaaads of fun, tuning the flying skills and getting deadly with AA guns. I dunno about battlefield on a console. Seems like quackery to me.

I've yet to experience that 'wow' moment in a game the way it happened in 1942 after breaking the learning curve and really digging into all the maps and mod play. dc was an awesome mod....does anyone know if dc servers still run since BF2 came out?
...lol, my main drive for buying a new desktop is so I can play BF once again. Anyone ever bazooka'd a plane mid flight?....or had one of those cinematic moments when a bloke is about to run you over with a jeep but you dropped an explosive so instead a hunk of burnt willy metal flew overhead....ahhh, bf.
Al Alemin(sp) loved owning flags in this map. Best desert map, followed by Gazala.

I think DC servers are still there, not sure if anyone plays them.

And god damn, all this talk is making me want to play 1942.
By God, I think I will.

I was just playing the trial game. Only from the tutorial the game seems okay, not sure if it is a buy or not.

I bought it and played a bit of it this morning before work and I found it to be fun. Its kind of like CoD3 but bigger. And with planes!
Planes are tricky to fly but after practicing a bit and drastically changing the control scheme ive become pretty good at it.
