Thanks guys! I had a great time at the Astros game on my birthday, Saturday, where the
Astros beat up on the
Cardinals. Just thought I'd bold that for our St. Louis friends here.
My girlfriend got the two of us Crawford Box tickets for face value, which is unheard of. Minute Maid Park has a fairly short left field, and the only seats in left field are the Crawford Boxes (so-named because beyond the left field wall is Crawford St).
As you can just make out, there are only a handful of sections in the Boxes. Match that with being the only seats in left field homerun territory, in a park with a short left field, and you get extremely sought after seats that are really hard to come by. All of the Crawford Box tickets are quickly sold either through season-ticket holders or ticket brokers, so the only way to get them is second-hand. That means the tickets get jacked up from the already high face value of $34 to $100 or more for each ticket.
We got 'em for $34 each. NICE.
Brought my glove, we went early and did the tour, the first time for my girlfriend to see an MLB game or an Astros game so we did the tour, went out to our seats for batting practice, didn't catch any but she almost got conked in the head while holding a pile of nachos in her lap. Astros beat the Cardinals, 8-5.
Then we went and got drunk. Fun day.
