Default Anyone care to post what IGN (Insider) said about Zelda?

I noticed they said "The story you don't want to read". Anything bad? good? I need to know!

"IGNcube has learned that Nintendo's GameCube version of Legend of Zelda is going to see a release delay. The title, formerly set to ship this holiday in December, more specifically, according to major retailers, is being pushed by Nintendo into next year. It will debut February 2003, according to sources."

*Points and laughs at all people that just knew Zelda would never be delayed.*

GOD DAM* IT! I can't wait even longer for Zelda! But at least i'll (hopefully) have Mario, Metroid, ED, and Star Fox to tide me over But I expected yet another delay Zelda better be damn good, otherwise I will lose a decent portion(around 1/4 or so) of faith in Nintendo and actually go by either a 'Box or '2. But thats just a biiig maybe

Actually, this is great news for me. Hopefully GCN's price will be lowered significantly so I can buy a GCN and several games all at once for the same price of an old GCN. And that will probably happen sometime around Christmas (hopefully sooner), so I can get Zelda.

Yes, I am actually going to get Zelda. That damn cell-shade crap is begining to grow on me.

*shrugs*

Eh, I'm not expecting Zelda to be released until late 2005/early2006...

Keeps the actual release date seem that much earlier...

Well atleast Bond isn't laughing at me...it's history that Nintendo delays all Zeldas...if they didn't delay this one by some time period I would have been shocked........but it's not really surprising me.

At least they didn't delay the game two months before release like some others I can think of...

I bet Miyamoto's going to start saying in interviews something like "We have a firm commitment to bring Zelda to the GameCube by February. It will definitely make it."

Just like he did when talking about Zelda being released by the end of this year.

Oh well. If I get to see it at E3, all will be well and good. In the meantime, we'll have Eternal Darkness, Star Fox Adventures, Mario Sunshine, RE: 0, PSO and probably some other stuff to tide us over.

Here's hoping none of those games get delayed.

I think they'll try not to delay Mario since its suppose to be a "summer game" ...or else they'll delay it until summer 2003. PSO would have been out a while ago if Nintendo only released the modem and broadband adapter earlier. And Star Fox is due for another delay. Rare has to stay consistent now don't they.

I think this delay could mean two things:

A) Nintendo wants Zelda ready for a simultaneus worldwide release.

Or...

B) Nintendo's being the damn perfectionists they always are (and God bless them for it).

Either way, it's only two months... there's a lot of good games coming out this year other than Zelda, so I can wait. I mean, come on, MSNBC supposedly got to play through the whole first level of Metroid Cube and they said it's going to be the Goldeneye of this generation. With that in mind, I think I can wait (along with any other FPS fans).

... Everybody knew this was going to happen. And I'm surprised if they won't delay once again.

What the hell? There better not be levels in Metroid... The game thrives on being one massive world!

He probably meant one area in the game .
