Whatcha Readin'?
What is everyone currently reading?
I am reading this fine novel by Leo Tolstoy for my Russian Literature in Translation course:

A Feast for Crows
by George R. R. Martin.
4th book in the Song of Ice and Fire series.
Such a good series by the way. I usually hate fantasy but this is really good.

Re: Whatcha Readin'?

Just finished my second read through of this. Still as good as ever. Just makes me sad that it will never be new to me

Re: Whatcha Readin'?
Speaking of Stephen King, I just finished this one...
Pretty good and one of the "Bachman" books.
Also just finished this one...
A great one. I had never seen the movie so this was new to me. I watched the movie afterward, but of course the book was better.

Re: Whatcha Readin'?
H.P. Lovecraft's Book of Horror, which is actually a collection of classic horror stories that Lovecraft noted in an essay he wrote about horror literature. I read the essay as well, and it's quite good. He has a very intellectual view of how to write horror.
Teuth, you might want to check it out as I know that's your bag, or one of your bags, I should say.

I wish GRR Martin would finish the 5th book. Only then am I starting with the 4th... because they take place at the same time and you can read them at once.

Hmm.. I read the synopsis on Wikipedia while looking through dystopian books, and I loved it Too bad I know everything that happens in it, I'll probably never read it..
I currently am not reading anything. I don't know what tı read.. Maybe I should start Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness..

I think it's pretty well done. It has a lot of similar themes to The Long Walk appropriately enough. Philosophy on life and death, etc.

I think it's a full year before it will see release.
But HBO did just green light production for the Song of Ice and Fire series.
Each book is supposed to be one season so if it gets picked up, it'll probably force him to write the last two books faster. That would mean he'd have to get number 6 done within 5 years and number 7 done within 6 years.
Which sadly, would still be a lot quicker than he normally writes.
