This week in NFL (Week 17)
Sorry to steal your thunder Bond, but the Patriots going 16-0 seemed to warrant a new thread.
Incredibly fun game to watch tonight, and no play defined the Pats more than the Randy Moss back to back bombs. When Moss scored on that second one you knew it was just meant to be. Good game, yet 16-0 will mean nothing if they don't go 19-0.

That was quite the game.
I feel as though Randy Moss has really become a better player and person with some structure and authority.

Re: This week in NFL (Week 17)
I'm pissed...I really wanted the Patriots to lose, haha. The Eagles, the Colts, the Ravens and the Giants all gave the Patriots a really good run. I'm almost tempted to say the Patriots still have their work cut out for them in the playoffs. Now I'm hoping for the post-season flop , 16-0, knocked out in the second or third round of the playoffs.

Solid win for the Packers against the Lions going into the playoffs.
I'll make a playoff betting thread like Stonecutter used to do after the seeds are set.

Me too. I've hated the Patriots ever since the 9/11 false patriotism BS made everyone a fan.
Also hate the Packers. Don't think I've ever met a Packers fan with above a 25 IQ. They don't exist. It's a bunch of Eskimo idiots drinking Miller, and that's all-around a bad combination.
That being said, I stopped watching football in 2001ish. Go Vikings.

Eagles finished 8-8 but on a three game winning streak. I really believe that if we qualified for the playoffs we could sneak into the super bowl and lose to the Patriots again, but oh well.

Germy, so do you think McNabb is staying or leaving?

Re: This week in NFL (Week 17)
I think he and Reid are definitely back next year, but beyond that I don't know. I personally believe he has 4 or 5 good years left in him, I mean look at Favre, but lots of people are ready to move onto Kevin Kolb already. I don't know, Kolb could be a good player, but I'm not ready to see him start every game yet.

Re: This week in NFL (Week 17)
I think McNabb's chances of being an Eagle next year are 50/50. I think he is definitely up on the trading block, but the Eagles won't accept anything that doesn't include a 1st round pick in the deal. The teams that would be the most eager to get him would be the Bears, Atlanta, Detroit... well, a lot of teams... good QB's are a rarity these days.
Personally, I'm sick of McNabb. I've been a fan for a long time, but at heart he's an exceptional backyard QB and nothing more. I say that because he has never been able to throw a timing pattern. Every time he throws the ball it is after the receiver has made his cut. Thats why the wide receivers are almost always tackled immediately after reception. In a west coast offense you HAVE to make the throw before the cut if you expect any RAC yards. Thats why Garcia ran the offense so much better than Donovan ever did. McNabb is more talented, but Garcia runs the offense better because he runs it that way it is supposed to be run.
On a side note, I love how the Eagles can't lose a game after they are eliminated from the playoffs. All they accomplished was hurting their draft position.
