Default It has arrived...

... and it is badasssss. My computer is in my home and humming nicely. I love having games auto-detect the best settings and seeing all of them read high or maximum.

I did have a little bit of a moment yesterday, though. I kept getting an error that my drivers were not communicating with my card correctly. I almost took a bat the the damn thing, because I installed the drivers myself. But then I checked out my MB and remembered that I ordered a SLi motherboard (thinking of the future) that has nVidia drivers installed by default. I'm running an ATi 1950xtx.

Well one quick uninstall of the nVidia drivers and its running smooth as silk.

On a side note... F.E.A.R. scares the HELL out of me...

BTW, I was still having trouble with my Vid Card, but that was due to a messy install by CP. A quick uninstall and re-intall and it looks to be doing wonderfully, but I am hesitant. If I have further issues, I'll try downloading the "Chuck Patch" and see if that helps. Other than that, I'm going to contact CP and get the card replaced.

So far, I am unhappy with ATi's software. It look pretty fragile to me.

One of the common complaints Nvidia users have about ATI is their Catalyst drivers. Personally, ive never had any real problems with them. Maybe a small glitch in a game here or there that was fixed in the next driver update, nothing major.

Although their (relativley) new Catalyst Control Center does indeed suck. They shouldve stuck with the old one.
