Default True Tales of Treasure: The KISR Golden Egg

Every summer in my hometown of Fort Smith, AR the radio station KISR 93.7 conducts a treasure hunt for a small jeweled object. It varies from year to year what it is but they've been known to hide a tiny golden egg, golden key, and a golden bone. Whoever finds it can redeem it for a brand new truck, luxury vacation, or $20,000 cash. The jewel is always on the ground in plain site though you won't see it unless you're right on top of it. The hunt consists of an artist's represenation of the city map complete with cartoon-like characters and drawings. You then listen to the radio for clues to the location of the hidden egg/bone/key. The clues are auditory in nature and involve a play on words. For example there was a clue which used the word "naught" referring to a street in Fort Smith called Zero street. A followup clue contained the phrase "the naught is not a knot." The only chance I had to participate in the hunt was in the summer of '96 when the golden bone was hidden. I realized later I actually came within about 10 feet of it just like several other poor saps. A woman from van buren ended up finding it. One of the clues was "6..3..2" which they said would lead you right to it if you knew what it meant. Later they revealed they were referring to line markings on the map right where the bone was hidden. The markings were in groups of 6, 3, and 2. You can imagine how upset I was. So simple yet so hard.
