New Wii Game - 100 Bullets
Nintendo seems to be getting a lot of "mature" games so far... interesting.
Quote:
D3Publisher of America and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today their intentions to fire 100 Bullets onto consoles, handhelds and PC Q3 2007. Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo series, a Bullets game was originally to be published by Acclaim back in 2004. The game was even shown at E3 that year and a promising preview was written up by IGN. But when Acclaim went bankrupt, the title was cancelled. Though the Acclaim project is dead, the license has now been resurrected, as D3 and Warner Bros. just inked a licensing agreement to begin translating the comic into all-new games. "100 Bullets has all the elements necessary to translate exceptionally well into video games," said Careen Yapp, VP of licensing and business development of D3PA. "We look forward to bringing the unique characters and storyline of 100 Bullets to life with the latest interactive technology and graphics, and will work closely with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics/Vertigo to maintain the authenticity consumers demand." "100 Bullets is an innovative crime-noir series that combines powerful story telling with non-stop action, and will be a great addition to the gaming world," said John Nee, VP of business development for DC Comics. Written by contemporary comic book writer Brian Azzarello and illustrated by award-winning artist Eduardo Risso, 100 Bullets is part crime story and part espionage thriller. It tells the interrelated stories of people who are given the chance to take deadly revenge against those who have done them wrong with no strings attached. The game is very early in development and details are scarce, but stay tuned for more info.

Re: New Wii Game - 100 Bullets
Wait. Where does it say that this game is coming to the Wii?
And also, this game seems to be inspired by Sin City's art style. And that can't be all bad.

Nah, the poster is misleading. The actual comic doesn't have Sin City's black and white contrast. It's a normal color comic that's pretty stylized but not to Sin City's degree.
Here are some screenshots from the 2004 build:

Re: New Wii Game - 100 Bullets
Those graphics are ewwwwwwwww, even for '04. I hate arcade shooters, just because of the craptacular graphics. Hopefully, with the advent of a real console and a flash gun equivalent, developers will actually make quality games that expand beyond a quarter’s value.
