Do you buy Live albums?
I just thought of this question as I was sitting here since I had just bought The O.C. Supertones: Live! Volume One. Anyway, I love to buy live albums since I love the way bands sound live and I don't get to go to many concerts so I can kinda reproduce that feeling at home.
However, a friend of mine has said that if he wants to hear a band live, he just goes and sees them. He says live albums are a waste since he has heard all the songs before. What do you guys think?

No not really... the only live album I have is a nirvana one cuz my brother tried to find incesticide at 3 stores and they were all sold out for some reason... It's OK... but I still think the regular albums are a lot better...
I was reading an interview of one of my fav. bands (I forgot which one... maybe Linkin Park or Korn I think or something) and they were asked if there were plans to do a live album and they said like "No I don't think so. Live albums sound like ass".... I agree

I hate live Albums. Some bands sound terrible live and it sounds real ****ty. Also sometimes people sing along to the song and scream and ****.
God no I hate them.

Jimi Hendrix's live songs are amazing. I have one live album of his, and some singles too.

I don't find much point in live albums, the quality isn't good and you might as well go to the concert if ya wanna here the band live. I guess if there is no way you'll ever get to see that band and you are curious about their live stuff, then there is no prob.

They suck. And pop albums are COMPLETLY different sounding. It's more singing, so there's a ton of voice altering.
