Default "Stop Errors"

Just recently I've encountered a really horrible error that causes my computer to suddenly restart on its own. A Windows error report came up and said that I am experiencing what is known as "Stop Errors", which basically means there's a problem with a device driver.

On the help desk area of Microsoft's site, the solution to this problem is: "Currently Unknown Until Further Reviewing".

This is a really, REALLY big problem for me. I do most of my job on my computer, and having it restart out of the blue is extremely frustrating when I have work that can be lost.

I need some advice. Any advice at all, if anyone knows anything about this problem. I am at a total loss as to how I can fix it.

I had that problem with my old aptop.

I asked my dad about it before getting the Mac and apparently it's just something you turn off, and he did it to my brother's laptop.

Yeah, right it down and post it. Its something like 0x(lots of numbers/letters)

Usually attempting a repair of XP might solve it, all it does is wipe the system folder and other various windows things and reinstalls them but doesnt wipe the stuff important to your hard drive

Remove the option that makes your computer restarts after a sytem crash so that you can get the error message and the file causing the problem. Then write it down in the thread.

I was getting stop errors awhile back. Turned out one of my sticks of RAM went bad. If you have more than 1 stick of RAM in your computer, Id suggest removing a stick and seeing if you still get the errors. If the errors go away, you know it was the RAM.
