Re: Batallion wars
Yeah, wtf, it's out? I pointed it out to Sean the other day and was actually distraught.
Poor Kuju. I doubt this will end up in my final Gamecube collection.

Re: Batallion wars
Well, 8.8 is good in most cases. Better than Mario Kart.

Re: Batallion wars
Everywhere else gave it a score in the 8's. I believe IGN called it a sleeper hit. *shrug*

IGN has a personal grudge against Double Dash.

Right. it MUST be a grudge.
That explains it all.
"Lyke omgawzzz n000000, a game fer a console I like didnt get 9 or higher, it must be a conspiracy or some personal vendetta brought on by the website. In no way whatsoever can a game released for the system I devote my every action to be lower than perfect. Its impossible."

Re: Batallion wars
The average press rating for Double Dash was a 9. IGN gave it a 7.9 which became an infamous score on the boards afterwards. Only three other places out of 38 gave it a score lower than IGN. They also bash the game whenever the slightest oppurtunity arises.

Re: Batallion wars
bah, DD was just "filler". People want a more original'ish Mario Kart
But I may rent Batallion wars sometime. Kinda weird considering I liked the Advanced Wars series and looks completely different

If you're basing your buying habits on what Game Informer says, you're never going to own a good collection.
I haven't played it yet but from what I've seen and what I've read it looks kick ass.
It's not two player though but I've always been able to really enjoy single player in games like this.
