Famitsu rates BioHazard!
Resident Evil 1 (or BioHazard) gets a 39/40!
This amazing score qualifies Biohazard for a Dendo-platinum award. This makes BioHazard the highest rated GameCube game yet!
What do you guys think?

Considering it's not an orignal game and thats it's an improvement over the playstation original. They really must have improved the game a hell of lot to get a score that high. And another thing i'm going to say.......I've decided that i'm definetly getting it when it makes it's way into europe. Although i thought that the game would be good, i didn't expect it to get a score that high.

I would just like to point out something. Well I noticed it more at IGN then here. But how come no one is calling Famistu biase?
I mean if this game would have got something like a 27. Everyone would find some lame excuse for it.. "O it's just a port", "Famistu is a bunch of biase ***s"
I don't know. I find it funnie because Justin has a concur thread in the Fight Club about ratings and some are saying they don't go by other's opinion then this..
Like I said just wanted to point this out

That is one hell of a rating. I still doubt I will get this game, but for those who depend on other peoples' opinions to buy games, this is great for them.
BTW, has a game ever gotten a 40/40? For which system?

Well, Famitsu, at least for me, is the one online/offline rating system i can trust. I used to trust ign, but they kinda went down.

I hear ya there, they are noticably biased towards XBOX which is annoying. Famitsu is harsh in general to videogames so for them to score a PORT a 39/40 is incredible to say the least.
I am definetely getting it.

A port is where you take the same game from one system and stick it on another...
this is a remake... new areas, new updated graphics, new voice acting, and even at least one storyline change (Richard not dying, or at least not right away)...
Anyways, I knew it would be awesome... that's why I started selling some PS2 games I didn't play anymore so I could buy a gamecube by the time RE1 comes out
I just hope that, with NGC's sorta outta place D-pad, they actually have real analog movement in the control stick... every past RE game with analog stick support (except maybe RE2 on N64, which I never played) has had this crappy thing where they split the analog stick into sections that act like the sections on the D-pad... so it wasn't really analog... and the movement like that sucked big time, IMO...
