Firefox, you have let me down.....
I recently recieved my first Firefox pop-up. Not to say that it's going to become a regular occurence, but still, the fact that it's happening saddens me. Anyone else have one yet?

Re: Firefox, you have let me down.....
Regardless, Firefox is still much more stable then IE. It's faster, runs better, and doesn't tie up your system.

Re: Firefox, you have let me down.....
Agreed. I have gotten the occasional popup from Firefox which has left me shocked, but I can't imagine how many I would get just in one day if I started using IE again...

Even the best programs can be slipped around, I suppose.
And, like everyone else said, no matter what, ANYTHING is better than IE.

I think I've gotten a grand total of about....6 Firefox pop-ups.

Re: Firefox, you have let me down.....
im sure they'll tweak its popup blocker soon. i've seen 2, but since they opened outside firefox in a new window, and everything i do opens in a new tab it has yet to bother me. only times i've noticed on thoes 2 i've seen was because i closed firefox and went to get out of the chair and noticed the little popup window still open. looked at it for a sec and said.. huh, we'll i'll be damned...... *alt f4* *walked away*

Re: Firefox, you have let me down.....
It's not Firefox's fault. The advertisers are just finding ways around the blockers. The same thing has been happening to me on Safari. I've NEVER had a pop-up using Safari, but in the past month or so I've had about two. I checked to make sure my block was activated and it was so the pop-ups are getting smarter. It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Re: Firefox, you have let me down.....
FireFox has become very slow on my PC. When I open it, it sometimes takes 10 seconds before the window appears. And other programs are much faster in the same situation.
I also hate it when I hit the 'back' button (or backspace) and it doesn't show the part that I was reading before, but goes back to the top of the page. It happens pretty randomly I think.

Re: Firefox, you have let me down.....
Firefox is still fairly new, and I wouldn't say it's more stable then IE just yet. Of course the popup blocker is a lot better and Firefox seems faster, but IE is still the more stable program for me.
When surfing and trying to watch gametrailers or music videos, Firefox doesn't recognize the plugins for QuickTime and Media PLayer that I've installed countless times for it...
Firefox 2.0 should be the best version released when it is.

Re: Firefox, you have let me down.....
Well I actually had to re-install QuickTime and when I did it asked me to do the MIME settings so that it knows which files to handle when serving the internet.
But open up QuickTime, and go to Edit ---> Preferences ---> QuickTime Settings
There should be a pulldown box, click it and Select 'Browser Plugins'
Click on the button that says MIME Settings and make sure you have a checkmark on these file mime types:
Streaming video
Video - Video only or video with sound formats
Audio - Audio only file formats
MPEG - MPEG system, video, and audio files.
