Stickey Games
For the first time this generation, I've picked up a used game. It works fine, so all is good, but the game had some stickers put directly on the case, and as you might imagine, trying to remove them wasn't very successful.
My question is: does anyone know any tricks to try and get that sticker goop up off the dvd cases? There's got to be something. I know peanut butter works well, but I don't want my cases smelling like peanut butter.

Re: Stickey Games
soak a cloth in hot water, then let it soften up the glue, it should be easier to remove. It only works if the game case has plastic covering it.

Re: Stickey Games
i'd just buy a package of empty DVD cases, and swap the cover on em.
i mean sure you dont get the memory card holder, but it sure is a lot easier then tryin to scrape off stickers

Re: Stickey Games
Try a blowdryer and cloth.
Funny thing happened to me; I bought Vagrant Story for a really, really good price, and when I brought it home, it had an ugly security sticker on the top of the disc. It said, "Warning - do not remove, will cause damage to disc."
I removed it. I started at one end, and just carefully peeled it all off. It took 5 minutes, but hey, it's fine now. Nothing wrong with it, AND it looks almost brand new. Take that, used video game shop!
..Too bad the game sucks.

Re: Stickey Games
They have some stuff you can buy. Goo-gone I think is the name. It works pretty well. Otherwise, I use nail polish remover but you have to be careful. The smell goes away a few days after using it.
