Interactive Entertainment - Early 2002 Remains Strong With Solid February Comps Total video game retail dollar sales were up 44% in February and 23% YTD, according to NPD Funworld. The positive comps were due to strong sales of new platforms and triple-A titles. Software dollars rose 45% for the month and 22% YTD. The availability of compelling titles and strong hardware sales drove the solid comps. Hardware sales continued at a robust clip-- the PS2 sold 430,000 units in February, Xbox sold 143,000 and GameCube sold 80,000.

That's fairly disappointing that the Resident Evil remake for the GameCube is not in the top ten.

It was number one in its first week I believe, but it just fell off the charts....or so the charts say, at least...

Yeah... Nintendo fans were all like "It will be a huge hit in Japan blah blah blah" because it's also a very popular series over there and blah blaaaah etc etc...

but now it comes out and does just "Ok" and people are like "Oh it doesn't matter, it's still pretty good. Just wait until the US launch."

......

It probably will do better here though... only problem is it's hard to find US sales charts sometimes...

Ok all jokes aside I thought it would be in the top ten, or atleast no 1 for a couple of weeks.....I wonder how come it's not up there?? Oh well.....I know I plan to buy it when it comes out in the US.
