Re: Sick Day!
Don't be complaining about headaches.
I get to go to the doctor tomorrow for what is quite possibly the most embarassing health fiasco I have yet to have.

I had shingles when I was 16. Let's talk about embarasing.

Re: Sick Day!
I had chicken pox when I was in 7th grade, so I feel your pain.
Link: Tearing. External. Urethra. Enough said.

Re: Sick Day!
I'm not sure how it happened, but yeah...I think it happened when I took a direct blow during gym.
The pain is not the worst part. It was the conversation I had with my parents explaining WHY I needed to go to the doctor......
And I haven't even been to the doctor yet.
Hopefully, I can look back on this and laugh my ass off.

Re: Sick Day!
Oh no....that would suck.
Although, external tearage of the urethra is probably just as bad.
I'm going to cringe and cry if the word "stitches" comes up tomorrow.

What the hell are shingles?
Because all I know of them are as roofing tiles....

Pretty much herpes simplex around the trunk of your body. 98% of the time, people over 70 get it.
And when I say herpes, it really means the chicken pox. so that's twice for me.

Re: Sick Day!
From what I understand, its like the adult chicken pox. If you avoid chicken pox as a child, you (likely) get shingles as an adult.
Ironically, its apparently more dangerous as shingles than it is chicken pox...
And uh... Sorry I asked, KG...
*shudder*

Re: Sick Day!
Actually, shingles is probably no more dangerous then chicken pox for someone in their prime. The only reason why it is more dangerous as an elder is because their immune systems are weaker.
Don't be sorry you asked. Be sorry that I might have to get my wang operated on.

Re: Sick Day!
Lol......didn't you take health? Or maybe my "state of the art school" has a better health program?
Urethra = the "tube" were fluids pass
www.dictionary.com <-------- definition
www.google.com <------ pictures
And if you have taken health, please kick your health teacher in the nuts for me. Everyone should know these basic terms. I mean, you got your respiratory system, your digestive system and so forth. Too bad we live in a world shielded by moronic politicians and their moronic half-assed ways.
I did a poll and like half the kids I talked to had no idea what the Morning After Pill was. Isn't that scary?
