Well I just saw Bruno. It was alright, but considerably less funny than Borat since the joke has kind of worn thin. It was sort of disappointing because a lot of the interviews seemed staged (not that Borat didn't have that feeling from time to time). The best part was the Ron Paul part which was just awkward and weird.....and the talk show with all the black people was funny too because of the whole Prop 8/civil rights thing.
Honestly, the movie wasn't as controversial as I have heard, and I think a lot of people are going to miss the point which is that Bruno is
not how gay people really act. I realize that
that is the "joke" but at what point does the message become the hate?
Gay people need to lighten up. There were some obvious stabs at the conservatives and religious people and typical Cohen shenanigans.
Honestly, if as much stuff was cut out of this movie as they claim, I'd just wait and pay to see it on DVD.
Oh, and the movie still supports my witty graphs.
