What happened in New York's 23rd congressionl district?

The republican party is still a very small minority, and the reason for this is because they've went too far to the right. Democrats have people who are on the right, center and left, which is why they have a huge majority.

I disagree with the idea that Obama sticking to the ideas that got him elected in the first place is hurting him. I'm in the camp that reads it as him moving away from what he campaigned on is hurting him. Escalating both wars, keeping one too many people from Bush's staff, and dropping the public option for healthcare will not pan out well for him in the end, I'm sure.. Though polls still show that people are more annoyed with the republican's obstrutionist attitude then they are with Obama.

It'll be interesting to see what happens.
