I agree with you there Ie. the sniper wars and the battle of stalingrade.. Those were major factors of the defeat of the Nazi war machine. But in counter, the winter of Russia is a Major factor in their defeat if they had the weather they did when they attacked they would have easily overcome the russian forces.
