Here is what I think when companies either drop support or lessen for any consoles.
They are basically saying "Because our games are crap, we won't release it on X console but release it on Y,Z, etc....console because we feel they will sell because people will be dumb enough to buy F game."
But there are situations where it isn't that way, but usually thats what they are quietly saying.
(This rant is unbiased. Any feelings that I made a biased statement will result in a small chuckle by me
