Should I call Sony and wait for an operator and tell him/her my story? I am afraid that if I tell them that I opened my PS2 to clean the lens, they'll instantly say it's your fault and we can't give you a free one. But even before I opened it, it wasn't working, but Sony is picky like that, they've done something similar before.

Also, if I do get a brand new free PS2 in exchange, how long do you think it will take?
