Not exactly. I made the mistake of burning my first CD on my new computer in MP3 format, and i could only play it on my Computer(no brainer), and my DVD player. It wouldnt play anywhere else, not the car, not the stero. Id make sure what you want to play it on can read in the MP3 format.
