normal gameplay is the first to be played. therefor is the first to get old. mods are what makes an online game last for so long. without mods ppl wouldnt still be playin games like HL Quake 1 or 2, etc. Mods make the game basically live forever. and some mods could almost be a game of thier own they're so good.
honestly, when i play HL 2 online. i'll be looking more foward to when they make a mod like Fortress for it, rather then the game itself. just as i am patiently awaiting fortress for UT2003 right now.  |
