I like kids. I will really enjoy being a parent when the time comes.

Leashes are flat out ridiculous. If you don't have the time to keep an eye on your child and make sure it doesn't going running wild (or at least is not destroying things)...then you have no business taking the child with you. Get a babysitter.

Spankings: Well, I used think it was wrong but never had a good argument for it. I had a warped view because I rarely did anything bad enough to get a spanking. ANd if I did anything wrong, it would be enough to know that my parents were mad at me for me not to do it again. But later on, with my younger siblings, I realized that some children Have to be punished by spanking. Each child has their own weakness. And for many, it is spanking. If you tap into that weakness then you can help them learn right and wrong. I just hope that when I am a parent I am successful in teaching right and wrong without having to resort to spanking. (Time Out is a favorite of mine)
