I've personally known several pitbulls who were thought to be completely harmless....but later on showed extreme aggressive behaviour. I'm not saying all pitbulls are violent.
Which is more likely to attack(and cause serious injury)? A golden retriever or a pitbull. They've been breed over the centuries as fighting animals. It's in their blood and it's not their fault. They just don't belong in an urban area.

Cars necessary for some, and pit bulls aren't as necessary? Never thought of it that way. Good one, bouncer. As for why some are so hell bent on owning pit bulls? Protection perhaps? Also, it seems like people like to walk these kinds of dogs without a leash to prove a point. Trying to look big and bad. Trying to make people fear them. I hate that.
Also, now that I think about it, you have more control over a car than a pit bull anyway. At least you know yourself when you're controlling a car (provided you're sober). Unless you're that pet psychic lady from that Animal Planet channel, perhaps you're all set when it comes to
reading a pit bull's mind and knowing what will make it tick.
