If thats the case then why do so many people own a car. Cars are probably the most leading cause of death in the US. Or why do people spend there money on things like cigarretts. I mean if they keep smoking them there eventually going to kill them.
Seriously think of how many people own pit bulls and other fighting breeds and then see how very few of those dogs actually have attacked there owner.
