"Copy-cat" games like these are exactly why Nintendo isn't satisfied(and shouldn't be) with feeding us the same exact experience over and over. Hence, the much "enhanced" Mario Kart: Double Dash.
It's funny how everyone is so quick to jump on x, y or z gimmick(character-based cart racing in this case) but no has the vision (or creativity, rather), to expand the genre or introduce new, significant concepts.
That's why Nintendo gets my respect.
