Because if you did. journalists would have jumped all over the fact that the U.S was in theory responsible for that, If they hadn't have given Sinn Fein that money all those years ago, Chances are they wouldn't have started such a bloody and un-nesscecary reign of terror that has lasted in Northern Ireland and England for over 25 years.
