It would be a risk. DVD burning will be much more common when these things come out, look at the problem PSX and DC suffered with by having common formats. You would be tempting fate releasing a DVD based console. Assuming they can make a disc that is proprietary, and don't have space limitations (hint hint), they should go for it. They won't benefit by including a DVD player, that was this generation.

I agree, no more stupid decisions. They should've sold Rare before they spent all that money on SFA. Rare has sucked recently, plain and simple. If they finally remember how to create a good game, Nintendo will probably regret it. But right now, Silicon Knights, Retro Studios, and NST have been making much better titles than Rare, and Rare cost Nintendo a lot.

Agreed. Nintendo needs to push 3rd parties into making great games for the system, because Nintendo fans need something to play between Shiggy titles
