SPOILERS!!!
I saw it too yesterday night. I didn't know what to ecpect from it.
I loved TFotR (seen it 7 times) and I love the book.
I went with a (female) friend that's also Tolkien-fan.
We enjoyed it, it was good. Not better than TFotR, just different.
Gollum was great!! Man he was good!

Just like in the book!
The worst thing of the movie was the Ents. I mean, they were kinda good, but not half as cool as in the book. Especially the eyes... I mean, YELLOW EYES??
Helm's Deep was cool, just too bad that they changed the already perfect story of the book. 10.000 Uruks vs 300 weak old men and boys just isn't cool. And Elves in Helms Deep??

Come on, the Last Alliance of Elves and Men wasn't called that for nothing! They just needed someone important to die...
The movie lacked the story from part one.
And it sucks that Faramir was evil. In the book, he just let's them go from the start. So they don't go into Osgiliath and stuff.
Oh yeah, the Dead Marshes were... not creepy enough. In the book, I was scared to death (hey, I was 15)! Here it was... meh.
I don't say the movie is bad, but I still have to accept some changes from the book. After that it'll be great.
