Yeah sure..... Sony has sold 3 Million PS2s this year compared to Gamecube's 792,000, PS2 and PSOne still dominate the sales charts (a couple Bandai games, Biohazard, and 1st party stuff are the only things selling Cube wise...) I don't see Gamecube remotely taking over there: yes Chronicles and Zelda will sell in copius amounts for a while then burn out. I don't see MP selling extremely well though (Miyamoto and Yokoi have always said that the series is much bigger here). You also have FF X-2, DQ VIII, VF 4 Evo, Choas Legion, Devil May Cry 2 and a whole gaggle of other PS2 titles coming out in the next several months too, and with the Gamecube install base a fraction of what PS2's is this "war" is basically over.
That said, GBA is huge already, and past PS2 in sales, so if you figure that in, Nintendo HAS owned there for the last year and a half or so....
BTW, Brian are those NPD numbers? That's pretty neat. I didn't know they actually track sales down to individual numbers here. Smackdown 4 selling that well sort of disturbs me.....
